i am not sure whether the system is U.S Version or Asian since the official "singaporean" xbox website states TBD......

play-asia.com states that the "asian version" of the elite is OUT OF PRINT/ OUT OF STOCK
so i cant confirm that for the time being

heres y u should buy it:
1) it has improved GPU heatsinks. (as of july 2007, all premium xbox 360 are being produced with the new heatsinks as well)
2) HDMI
3) 120 GB
heres y u should not buy it:
1) it still uses the old 90nm chips instead of the 65nm chips, so u might face the same problems what the current models faces
2)the HDMI is only 1.2a instead of the new 1.3
- HDMI 1.3 optionally support BILLIONS of colours. fyi current CPU's can only output MILLIONS of colours.
- the max audio/video max bitrate 4.9Gbits for 1.2a, compared to HDMI 1.3 uses 10.9Gbits
- also HDMI 1.3 supports DOLBY True HD (7.1)
3) 120GB is CURRENTLY not worth touching since there is NO HI-DEF content to download from ASIAN marketplace as that is what it is built for .
FYI, MS has stated that they are not selling the Xbox 360 Elite to existing users, but for new comers who have yet to taste the 360
by the end of the day its ur choice guys, this is just my point of view.........

just got my elite along wif halo 3 limited edition....yup my 2nd 360 and my 2nd halo 3......
right now im having trouble loggin' in xboxlive....just cant download the updates....im still using my old 20gb hdd from my old 360....waitin' for the data transfer cable from egm as they told me they do have a plan on having it too......so far....im soo satisfied wif the elite....HDMI yo....
It's pretty expensive, along with Halo 3 you come close to $1000. :( Though it makes some sense since it's such a high quality console. I'll probably get it in December, how much do you think costs will drop by then? $10 to $15?
it'll probably down to 799 like the 'should be' price in singapore........by december...yup most probably....

singapore and brunei?hmmm....got game shops here....EGM always early on game availability but costly on price and EA got cheap games than any other shops but late games is the only downside fer 'em
Sounds good. Is your XBox 360 Elite, original (plays only original games) or 'modified' to play the fake games as well.

mine is still unmodded and i dont intend to mod it coz i just cant leave xboxlive just like that...its like theres a bond....ask any other xboxlive gamers here.....they'll know what i mean.....
which is better?its up to you actually coz its your bucks...good ori games are hard to find..just like those halo 3..but its now available at shops.....and ori games suck up your money more than those of copy version but i dont mind....and for modded version, u can get ban from xboxlive and no online play suck too..
and yup, been playin' halo, halo 2 on my 360 and even played LAN wif it wif old xbox console.....and plus..halo 2 ori games are all region free....
tis raya gonna have LAN party again....:D

if you want to play the 360 on hdmi why not just buy the hdmi cable? not trying to be an ass but im just wondering cos im thinking of just getting the hdmi cable instead of getting a new box to enjoy the hdmi feature.

my 1st aim was not bout the hdmi, its the 120gb hdd coz im always runs out of space wif ANY hdd. the hdmi is my 2nd aim since i still can see 1080p wif my component cables, rugi jua tv ada xtra hdmi nda begunakan.......and black colour is just a bonus.....look at my site and u'll see what i mean.....
why bother buying hdmi cable if the console do not have hdmi port?

I like the pics of ur XBox 360, it looks so cool. Black looks so much better than white. Lucky, have you finished Halo 3 yet? ;) I'll be getting mine in Jan so that's quite far away. I'll have till then to decide whether I go for original or modded.
Too bad there no XBox Live in Brunei, Microsoft really need to globalise it.

wut no xboxlive???been playin' wif locals online thru it.....played halo 3 almost everynite now and then wif locals online and at home......at home wif my sisters and frens...4 player splitscreen and 4 players online frens.....almost all local xboxlive frens own halo 3 and played wif....so happy wif it...just disappointed wif lags.......but not much tho'..

Yeah, I got confused coz I was trying to say puasa won't end and hari raya won't start till Saturday. :) Oops. I have a Singapore account, what I meant was that Brunei doesn't have an account. Wish we could complain so Microsoft would add more countries to their list.
