Been back since 4^th july

SORRY I didn’t immediately update my blog as I was very BUSY

So STRAIGHT to the point

I previously stated that I would peek at ASIA GAMES ZONE 2007 & Drop By at Gamers Hideout

So I did…….

ASIA GAMES ZONE 2007 (29^th june 2007 – 1^st july 2007)

It was the Last day of the exhibition

Finding my way to the convention centre was not that hard.

I just used the underground tunnels connected from Suria KLCC

Upon arriving, there was a small banner just outside the main door of the convention centre

now to find my way to HALL 2

My heart was pumping kinda fast, ada jua kambang bulu atu sedikit, pokoknya mcm2 imagine ku ( its like “it is going to be the MOST” lah tu).

at the door of HALL 2, there are quite a number of security guards, I said to myself “WOW, gerenti special brabis event ani”

Iski2 kan masuk I realize that I had to purchase tickets to enter for RM 5

THIS BETTER BE GREAT!

So I entered

WHAT??!!!, THIS IS IT???!!!

I came in dengan penuh confident only to find out that it was, well……., SUNYI!!!!.......

I looked at my watch and it was 11:15am.

“Luan awal kali aku ani or IzziT becoz ianya last day???”

So tanpa buang masa aku Round2 Lah!

So firstly, I went to the non electronic gaming section










not really familiar with the games, I took a closer look









strategy board games, cool!!


After a few glimpse, I turn to the electronic section










Demo Zone on all the latest PC games












Countersrtike tournament Zone


After awhile I decide to ask few questions from one of the exhibitors Mz. Joanne, a representitive from one of the gaming companies in Malaysia.

Me: is this first ASIA GAMES ZONE exhibition in Malaysia??
Exhibitor: Yes, it’s the first and BIGGEST in Malaysia

Me: So, was this place very CROWDED the last 2 days compared to today??
Exhibitor: ummm.., I wont say it as very CROWDED, you can say “MORE PEOPLE CAME”, especially yesterday!

Me: How do you view this Exhibition??, a success??
Exhibitor: well…….., not really

After that I continue round2 and I eventually came across Gamers Hideout punya Booth, the ONLY console gaming booth at the exhibition i mite add.

at first I tot they are promoting any tournaments like the others but unfortunately they are only there for demos.

They brought 4 xbox 360’s for the demo, 3 for Gears Of War (Lan Connected) and 1 for Forza Motorsport 2.

To make things inda sia2, I played GoW with several gamers who are new with it. Even though they are unfamiliar but they are pretty good.

After puas MENGERGAJI org, I notice one of the representatives for Gamers Hideout wearing a cool XBOX 360 jacket.

cool huh??, Fyi he is an online gamer (gamertag “mav3tan”)

After exchanging words with mav3tan, I decide to leave the exhibition as there is nothing to look forward further for a console gamer.

I am kinda disappointed as it doesn’t live to my expectations

For PC gamers barangkali puas ati lah becoz banyak events yg berkaitan dengan PC

Fans of the non electronic games pun had a big part in the exhibition

For Console Gamers…….

IT IS JUST NOT WORTH IT PEEKING AROUND!!!!!.

Baik jua Gamers hideout punya booth ada disana, mun nada my trip would be WORTHLESS!

GAMERS HIDEOUT

Well, there is nothing deep to talk about my view on Gamers Hideout

unfortunately I didn’t get to mingle with the staff as they were very busy unpacking new shipments and talking with quite a number of customers, bringing into the disappointment I eventually forgot to bring my CAMERA.

i got to peek around the shop for any new accessories which are not available in Brunei.

One of them is the…..

1) xbox 360 black controller
2) the new and improved memory unit with geometry wars arcade game preinstalled

btw this is just based on what I saw………

fyi, this is the only shop in Malaysia currently selling these accessories
kucari2 sudah at other game shops but NADA.

SO its true what they've stated, “ if you’re looking for a game or accessory for your Xbox 360 and you can’t find it at Gamer’s Hideout, you probably can’t find it anywhere else locally"

So I highly recommend u guyz checking this shop out if u guyz ke KL.

FYI the game shop is situated at CINELEISURE in Damansara, Selangor (near IKEA btw)
Normal Taxi ride rate from the bukit bintang kesana cost rm 15 – 18.

Unfortunately d Kuala Lumpur time ani TAXI nya Gila2!.

Almost all Taxi drivers d KL inda memakai meter nya. They just call out the price before u take a ride.

Pernah skali I wanted to go back to my hotel from cineleisure, the taxi called out rm45.

Gila kah???, ofcourse I turned him down and cari taxi lain.

Last2, I got a taxi ride back for rm25, antam sja tia daripada inda balik.

BTW……………

i was so looking forward on purchasing a xbox 360 HD DVD player there but unfortunately there is no HD DVD movies to be seen.

Loco told me about a shop which sells HD DVD movies just few shops away from Gamers Hideout but inda ada, just normal dvds saja yg ada…..

I saw blue ray movies instead at SURIA KLCC (the only shop), only 5 instock with different titles each.

So big possibility habis stock, maybe the shop brings in limited stock for HD DVD movies
