xbox 360 wireless steering wheel: a bruneian review

Any bruneians bought the wireless wheel?

i did.....

so how was it??

worth it?

its AMAZING!

first of all, it has an awesome force feedback, high quality plastic build, superb pedals, gear shifting is at the back of the steering ( ada f1 feel sikit), the steering grips does what it is design to do if ur hands r sweaty.

rubber grips and chrome finish

Gear shifters (f1 feel)

with steering btw comes with a copy of PGR3 complete with steering wheel drivers, and a force feedback power supply and a table mount clamp for a hefty price (b$268).

Microsoft promises wireless, well not wireless enough

y u say?

  1. The pedals are wire connected with phone jack like cables.
  2. u wont feel the experience of the steering without force feedback, so u have to connect an individual power supply to the steering. come to think of it is a good thing that microsoft provides power supply for this as the force feedback will surely drain ur batteries
So having a steering wheel is nothing without a racing seat. Dont get me wrong, it still works gr8 if mounted on to a table But to truly get the experience u need to have a racing seat

so where to buy??

i dont know

Why search and buy if u can fabricate one.

With a racing seat like this i gave it 6/10. its not much but it delivers the experience.

so with the racing seat done, i put the steering wheel to the test with the long awaited game...

FORZA MOTORSPORT 2
limited collectors edition
b$98 (e.g.m)
"the game that inspired me to have the steering wheel"

So how was it??

they are pros and cons about the performance on this one

Pros:
  • the force feedback respond amazingly
  • The name "simulator" reallly shines with it. the car mechanics are mere car perfect.
Cons:
  • i notice that i am slightly slower than u sing a controller. average of -2secs.
Conclusion:
The experience between using a normal controller and the wireless steering wheel is far different. with the steering wheel, u have to really control the balance of the car and u deeply feel the difference between type of cars (FR, FF, AWD etc). It really puts the name "SIMULATOR" to the test. i would recommend this to a racing game fan.

final score:8.6/10

The seat, well, it looks like a 4 out of 10 to me and yup, I've been close with EGM that I got the price lowered to B$93. :P

The games cool, but still lack of my favorite cars eg. Dodge Viper SRT/10 Coupe hardtop and Shelby Mustang GT500 (yes the game show case the shelby, but its the KR racing version, not the street version). So big hope is they might add more new cars in the Marketplace.

ReD S1X out

how close???, everybody got a 5% off. if u got it lower than that then u r really close.

while u r really close can u ask them not to stop importing original games for our LIVE GAMING sakes??, tq

4/10??, cubatah nyaman kan hati ku yg duka ani sedikit, hehe. can u fabricate one for me YOURSELF??. ill buy it from u if its better than mines PROVIDING if its from your OWN work.
